From Bare Subfloor to Finished Carpet
Once removal is done and the subfloor is confirmed sound, new tackless strip and pad are installed, followed by the new carpet, stretched into place with a power stretcher so it holds tight at the edges. Seams are placed away from doorways and high-traffic sightlines and sealed properly, and transition strips are fitted wherever the new carpet meets another flooring type.

How We Take Out the Old Carpet
Old carpet comes out in controlled sections, not one dusty heave. We cut it into strips, roll them tight, and carry them out along a protected path – the same for the old pad, which usually tears away in pieces and gets bagged. Staples and old tackless strip are pulled where they are being replaced, and the subfloor gets a vacuum and sweep before anything new arrives. In condos and multi-storey homes, we plan the carry-out route in advance so old carpet is not dragged across finished floors.
