A commercial office project pairing two coordinating floors: an abstract stone-patterned carpet through the meeting rooms and a darker striated plank format running the corridors. The two products meet cleanly at the doorways, letting the corridors take the heavier traffic while the rooms get the feature pattern.
The multi-directional patterns were chosen for a working office – they disguise wear paths and soil between cleanings far better than a flat solid colour, and the plank format in the hallways lets individual sections be replaced years from now without redoing the floor.
Work was staged around the building's hours, room by room, with furniture and door hardware worked around carefully so the office stayed usable throughout.
