A straight enclosed staircase carpeted wall to wall in a cream-and-taupe herringbone – a patterned product that turns a simple run of stairs into a feature.
Patterned stair carpet is unforgiving work: the chevron has to stay aligned tread after tread, riser after riser, all the way up, because a drifting pattern is visible from the bottom step forever. Each step was fitted so the herringbone reads as one continuous weave from the hallway below to the landing above.
The light tone brightens an enclosed stairwell, and the dense low pattern hides the walk line that every staircase eventually develops.
